Logos at the School of Medicine

The School of Medicine's official logotypes (School and Physicians) are its exclusive branding marks and are Washington University in St. Louis trademarks; other logos should not be used or developed. For a complete explanation, please see this letter from Larry Shapiro, MD, executive vice chancellor and dean, Washington University School of Medicine. The Office of Medical Public Affairs can provide assistance in developing consistent graphic treatments for components of the School in a manner that is consistent with these guidelines. (286-0100)

The official Washington University in St. Louis logotype is available for printing in the configurations shown below.

Each configuration is available in 1-color, 4-color process, and 4-color PMS encapsulated postscript (.eps) files. Consult the logo guidelines manual for uncoated PMS specifications.

Each logo is available in three different sizes — Small, Medium, and Large. The logo is not to be reproduced smaller than the small version. The shield in the large version has been slightly adjusted for use in larger (poster) sizes.

To download JPG logo files:
(Use for personal printing on laser printers, ink jet prints, etc.; and for electronic media.)
1) Decide which logo configuration and if you need it in black and white or color.
2) Click on the "S" for the small (business card) size, "M" for medium (letterhead) size, or " L" forlarge (poster) size.
3) A new window will open with the requested logo. PC: Click on the image with the right button. Mac: Click on the image and hold the mouse button down.
4) In the dialog ue box that appears select "Save Image as ..." to save the file to your disc.
